Description
Prof. M. R. Riazi (PhD, AIChE Fellow, P.Eng.) has over 40 years of experience in both industry and academia working on projects related to chemical EOR, modeling and simulation of reservoirs, refining processes, flow assurance, phase behavior and property estimation as well biofuels technology. He received both PhD and MSc degrees in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University where he also worked as an assistant professor with projects sponsored by API and US DOE. He was an elected chair of chemical engineering at Kuwait University as well as a visiting professor in both petroleum and chemical engineering at NTNU/Norway, UT/Austin, Illinois, McGill/Montreal and Middle East. He also has been a consultant for oil and energy related companies in the US, Canada, South America, UK, Norway, Netherlands, Finland, China, Russia, Middle East and North Africa including Kuwait Oil Company. He has extensively presented at international conferences and has been invited speaker to conduct workshops in 40 countries. He is currently Manager of Montreal Oil & Gas, Inc., director of fuels division of AIChE and its chair at AIChE Annual Meetings. He is the founder and editor of IJOGCT journal, a board member of JPSE and has some 150 publications including seven books related to environment, oil, gas, coal and biofuel production and processing. He received a Diploma of Honor from American Petroleum Engineering Society, a fellow of AIChE and is a certified professional engineer in Canada.
