On Monday 22nd July 2024 at the UN Palis de Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, WASD officially launched SDGsUNi with an opening speech by H. E. Dr Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General, United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), Switzerland.

Thursday 13th October 2022 (London: UK) at Queen Mary University of London, WASD organized the inaugural launch of the main platform SDGsUNi with the attendance of H. E. Mr. Bader Mohammad Alawadi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the UK.
Monday 23rd January 2024 (Riyadh: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), we launched the SDGs Saudi Universities Initiative (SDGsKSAUNi) and the SDGs Gulf Universities Initiative (including KUSDGsUNi) at Al Majmaah University’s conference under the theme “Universities and Sustainable Development Goals 2020: Targets and Practices”. We are delighted the conference agreed to support the SDGsUNi platforms in KSA and the Gulf region.
Monday 13th November 2023 (London: UK), SDGsUNi presented at the 20th Anniversary Conference of WASD with the participation of several countries’ representatives such as H. E. Mr. Bader Mohammad Alawadi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the UK and H. E. Ambassador Dr Hend Al Muftah, Permanent Representative of Qatar to the UN Office at Geneva and other International Organizations, (Switzerland), as well as the United Arab Emirates and Sudan.
Tuesday 4th July 2023 (Windhoek: Namibia) we launched the SDGs African Universities Initiative (SDGsAfricaUNi) at the 22nd Conference of Rectors, Vice Chancellors and Presidents of African Universities (COREVIP) organised by the Association of African Universities (AAU) and hosted by the University of Namibia.
Monday 20th November 2023 (Banyuwangi, East Java: Indonesia), WASD President presented a Full Demo of the SDGsUNi platforms at the WUACD Summit 2023. The conference is organised by the World University Association for Community Development (WUACD) based at University of Airlangga, Indonesia
